What is the patient-advisory team?

The patient-advisory team (PAT) is a critical part of the study’s research leadership. This team is composed of individuals who represent the perspective of patients and public who currently live with knee osteoarthritis and a larger body size.

PAT members advise and consult with the principal investigators on all aspects surrounding the conduct of this research study. We believe that involving individuals with experiential knowledge will result in a better clinical trial and improved experiences for study participants.
